Its a rather futuristic looking piece isn't it ?
Thats why i thought I'd research it and see if I could use in conjunction with my space wheel.
Basicaly this is a solar/photon powered energy generator. It turns light energy from this sun into electrical (thats not ultra knew technology) , also it generates energy from photons ,(thats modern technolgy) basicaly it collects photons that fly around in space , In physics, the photon is an elementary particle that creates electromagnetic madness!. It carrieselectromagnetic radiation of all wavelengths, including gamma rays, X-rays, ultraviolet light, visible light, infrared light, microwaves, and radio waves.
Strangely The photon is massless, has no electric charge and doesn't spoil randomly in empty space. Thus the particle can fly around above the Earths atmosphere in space itslef.
I think the photon is a very interesting knew discovery. For it seems it is a knew form of economic energy . Scientist have also being creating knew kinds of lazers from this element. This I seee also as a step towards the sci fi films. If were still discovering knew elements and energys then who knows what kind of energy we'l have in the future?
Maybe these plasma styled cars you see in Sci-fi's will become somewhat real or similars made.

I think its all very posiible.

So yeh I may use these photon sails as an energy source for my space wheel , or maybe even to power a capsule in space that keeps you up there , in case there is a breakdown , for comfort and security n' all!.

The other day on my way down to Cornwall I was bored in the car. I was thinking a oui bit about a few things , people , work , college etcet . Luckily enough at the time I'd started to think about college work , something caught my eye . Well you know how I was thinking about a space travel vehicle ? You should any way! But thats besides the point , the fact is I was looking for something that could be a renewable , luxurious method of transport . So I had to find something different from a rocket.
And there it was (back to Cornwall) ,sat in some form of fairground on my way down to Cornwall!

A ferris wheel!

Well not exactly, I was thinking I could make a type of space ferris wheel that takes people up into space. So I think thats what my ideas will be based around now > So I may further my research into things that I should consider to put in my cabin , as a source of entertainment , or essential things.

Anyway thats the way I think I'l do it.

Space idea development

Hello again!

Well I've had a look at Nasa's site and I'v realised that:

A: Space shuttles at the moment are one use objects , (they carn't use them again for they break by the time they get back to Earth)

B: NASA are creating robots that will do humans work on the moon and such!

C: They have a quite diverse range of foods , which is good going for my project as people will be able to dine!

Pretty interesting stuff, so maybe my idea for people going into space shouldn't only be for a space shuttle, ( though in the future they may design a more robust model) but I think there could be better way of getting people into space in a higher multitude , for a shutle it is hard to make it luxurious.
The Robot thing is also interesting to , as if NASA are producing robots now , then maybe I could use them as some kind of tool on my vessel/space transporter.
If food can be variated in space I could almost create a dining evening in space offer for couples!

A multi-million dollar project , to make space travel available/saleable to people.
The rocket he's playing with is a model of the real thing. It can propel people into space safely and back . For basicaly the shutle which consists of two parts (the gliding distributor and the rocket ship itself)glides just below the top of the earths atmosphere , then it drops the rocket ship down(which contains the passenger) and the rocket ship engine fires itself straight out the earths atmosphere into space!. When in space the ship straitens itself (due to the shape of it, it does this with out aid from the pilot ,it just does it naturaly). Another feature is that if a passenger has trouble whilst the ship shoots out the atmosphere , the passenger can switch of the engine , then the ship will just glide and land naturaly.
I think this is an amzing achievement for the shutle is re-usable and safe , I think my poster could be based around space travel , though I think in the future they could be an even better way to get into space this idea creates a multitude of future products to advertise whithin the main idea, so that is what I think I will focus on now.

Here he is talking about, Mr Branson , doesn't it remind you of one of those sci-fi things though? with the leader of a massive corperation trying engross the public to spend money on his product? .....meh, maybe its just me.

Evaluation Of personal piece.
For this piece I was asked to produce a piece which shows something about myself (I could portray as little or as much as I wanted) , I think my piece shows quite a lot about myself , but in a very symbolist way , though I like this for you have to look deep in the picture to disc other deep things about myself.
My piece shows I like technology , referenced by the electrical current which the subject is created by ,
I think my piece also shows that I’m quite a spiritual person for the bird itself is quite tribally influenced. I think it almost looks like a spirit itself , I think the piece kind of shows a neo type of spiritualism with the spirit being created by this electric current , which is a symbolism of modernism.
I think you can read into this as deeply as you like and it would still be quite accurate to who I am , the main criticism I have is though if you just glanced at this piece and didn’t read much into it , you’d only scratch the surface.
Generally I’m very pleased with this project , I managed my time well , I made the imagery from scratch ( I painted them and scanned them in , then edited them.)
I think maybe the headphones are quite sketchy ,though I kind of knew this when I was making it but I didn’t want it too like your typical rave poster , also I’m not an ultra neat person .

Ok , for this brief we had to create something that displayed something about ourselves. I chose to make a kind of symbol of a bird being created by music , for I think music is one of my main drives and inspirations in life. It effects who I am in a way . In this piece it is a bird that is created by the headphones (music) for the bird symbolizes me in the way that I like to travel , and I just thought it would work visualy for its a niece syntrical shape. I'd say I'm free like a bird in my own way (kind of do my own thing). The way the bird is almost an electrical current is also a metaphor indicating my enthusiasm for technology . Any way enough about me. First of all I painted the bird and earphone( I thought this would give it some of my own character) I then scanned it into photoshop , then live traced them into illustrator.
I decided I'd like to use a black background to make my main items stand out brightly in the forground( so I could use a glow which you will see).
So I selected the insides of the headphones and bird , then made them white with the paint bucket tool. I also then doubled the earphone and put them at both sides of the landscape page.
For the bird I edited the feathers with the twirl tool . I did this by tracing the image and then expanding the image (this makes the lies become editable).
I made the wings kind of swirl out towards the headphones , so it looked like the headphones were firing them out . I also distaughted the birds face with the swirl tool , to make it look like electricity. I thought this would make it look even more like it was created by electricity .
At the ends the wings I used the ripple tool to make it look like the wings wete almost coming out of the headphones like sound waves.
After I'd done all this I copied and pasted each element into photoshop so that I could add colours and effects with more complexity.
First of all I deleted the black parts in the headphone hole (to make it look like the wings were coming out of them.
The I selected the bird with the magic wand ( seleceted the black part , then inverted the selection.) and filled it with the live paint bucket and added more other colours onto it , though I didnt think this worked well so I deleted those colours.
I thought Id have to do something to make it look electric , so again I selected the bird area , made a new layer beneath this , filled the selected area and then made a glow behind it. I then also coloured some bits of the bird , doubled the headphones and put them other each other to make them more 3D.

That is how I created my piece , the making of it is above in asending order , you click on them to enlarge them.

Future Technologies , warfare

In my search for inspiration for ideas for a future product advert I found some pruducts created for warfare . eg
This gun here has been developed to shoot round corners , it uses a camera above the nozel that adapts to the surroundings to keep a clear image , this is so soldiers aren't put at risk or can check around the corner before commiting themselves. A pretty effective good idea . Though apparently it can be a pistol which is a bit short ranged. Though knews just that they've created a grenade launcher that fires around corners. I've also heard that they have developed a laser gun that blinds people on the battle field (for a blinded solier is useless and would render another soldier the same , for he'd need to be helped out of combat). Though tehy say this weapon is too dangerous to the user at the moment and doesnt comply with human rights (anyway that could all be myth).
The army have also created amazing knew aircraft , like the B-2 bomber , which can meet altitudes that most plains can not , and due to its shape and radar seems it can be almost completely undectable to its enemys , the machine costed around $2.1 billion dollars (it seems obvious why such money is spent , for in the future I think if war is to embark , bombing will be the main form of combat) . Though I don't think war will ever happen , I see this as more of a defense . eg its America saying "don't start with us we've got this!". Also its a statement to America/s wealth.
Like I said earlier on , war is maybe the main factor in the acceleration in technology. Though in the future human survival may be (A pretty funny juxtaposition really). Anyway I'l go onto to talk about this in my future blogs.
Yeh so basicly my knew product add could be an advertisement for something that will become availible or saleable in the future , in the context of combat , or an for a product featured to encourage people to join the army , like a laser canon or what not , anyways we'll see.
